Založbo je leta 1974 ustanovil Dr. Norbert Brockmeyer M.A. Od tedaj dalje so v založbi izšle številne publikacije v glavnem avtorjev univerz s področja Porurja, vendar v okviru svojega programa vse več izdajajo tudi beletristiko, še zlasti aforizme pa tudi napete in zabavne romane, s čustvi nabito liriko ter informativne biografije.

Na znanstvenem področju so osredotočeni predvsem na jezikoslovje, kriminologijo in zgodovino.
